Introduction: About clay, clay slab, imprinting & glazing. 

1. About clay and its process.
2. Types of patterns and textures.

The instructor will explain visually to the students:

1. Slab making
2. How to join clay
3. Imprinting Methods and applying glaze.
4. How to make the mug from the slab.

The students will work on the clay with the instructor's help.

This workshop is designed to give children an interesting exercise of creating textures and prints on slab of clay and make it into their pottery. You can use the help of our studio-made patterns, and textures onto your clay slab and color them. The textures are formed on the slab which will be further made into a mug with or without handle.

The two-hour session includes all clay, materials, and firing costs, and students can expect to not only learn the craft but also take home their pieces after they are ready from firing (baking).

Session time: 1 hour

Age: 5 years old and above

Cost: 350 QR

Please note: After the date of the class, Final Pieces will be ready in 3 weeks and can be collected up to 5 weeks maximum. Once the time exceeds the pieces that are not taken will be owned by MUD.
